The Maine Highlands Council for the Arts is thrilled to launch a collaboration between the Foxcroft Academy Art Department and the Dover-Foxcroft Historical Society. During the month of June student work will be on display at the Central Hall Commons, along with work by Mary Elizabeth Greeley, who lived in Dover-Foxcroft from 1836-1924 and created many stunning works of art on various subjects. The June show will feature her floral works, done in watercolor, oils and other media. The student work will focus on floral and nature subjects.
We are planning to have art shows on different subjects on a quarterly basis.
There will be an opening reception on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. All are invited to see the artwork from the present day and Dover-Foxcroft’s past. It will truly celebrate the beauty of our region, and underscore the value our community places on the arts. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free of charge.
